The Sheep Show
sheep-dancing.jpg

The Sheep Show is EDU-tainment at it’s best. A live 30 minute show, appearing at over 120 outdoor shows throughout the country from the Orkney Isles to the Royal Cornwall.

Presented in humorous kiwi style, the show introduces us to 9 different breeds of sheep, each with a story to tell and are welcomed on to the stage by their own theme tune, “Lenny the Lincoln Long wool” arrives to a great Bob Marley tune (very apt for a sheep that has natural dread locks). We are then given a very informative shearing display and learn more about wool.

However, just to add to this already humorous but educational show, the sheep then do The Sheep Show Shuffle,

Yes, Dancing sheep !!.

The Quack Pack

A farmer born and bred, Meirion has been around border collies all his life. He is the third generation of his family to be involved in the art of training, competing and demonstrating with his border collies all over the country.

Meirion's sheep dog and duck demonstrations are designed to showcase the amazing talents of border collies and the communication between handler and dog. His demonstrations are informative, educational and highly entertaining. They are also interactive, allowing hands-on adult and children participation. Meirion provides his own humorous commentary as he uses a combination of commands to guide his dogs and cooperative (and sometimes uncooperative) Indian Runner ducks around a course that includes tunnels, slides and pens

Chef, author, TV presenter, demonstrator and food campaigner Rachel Green has made a name for herself as a passionate ambassador of British produce. Coming from 14 generations of Lincolnshire farmers, Rachel’s message is that food doesn’t have to be complicated to be great. All you need are the best, locally sourced ingredients you can afford and to treat them with respect.

Rachel has appeared at the show for several years and returns after an absence from last years show.

She will be giving cookery demonstrations in her own unique style in the Chefs kitchen tent.

JRCS Birds of Prey

The JRCS Falconry Team has been a regular visitor at the show for many years. They will be appearing in the arena with a spectacular close up flying demonstration and a chance for the public to get involved, close up to these magnificent birds. There is also a large display of birds at their stand.

Jan, a falconer with many years' experience, started his professional career with the Bird of Prey display team at Woburn Abbey. His work has covered every aspect of rearing, training, working with and caring for a wide range of birds of prey.
